This month we are featuring a new artist by the name of Francis Muuo Kasema, better known as ZEMAN. He is an artist from the bubbling music scene in Nairobi, Kenya. Zeman is an Afro-pop artist however he’s not limited to this genre alone as he’s worked on music that ranges in sound from Amapiano to other Afro-fusion rhythms. He’s a high-energy artist who is developing a sound all his own. His first track Konga, a bass-heavy, track with an Amapiano flavor debuted on the 14th of Feb 2023, under the music label Black Alpha Productions ltd. Listen to a few of his latest tracks below.
Bio
He’s a twin and the youngest of 6 siblings. Both parents were present throughout his formative years. However, tragedy struck as he lost his older brother to meningitis at the tender age of nine. His father fell ill a few years before his tragic and untimely passing. His mother took on the mantle and gave young Zeman and his siblings a stable, safe upbringing, providing them with all that they needed. He was largely inspired by his elder sisters whose love for pop music and dance rubbed off on him.
His budding romance with music was evident in all of his High School school and grew with him into his college years. Look out for his hot grooves and infectious beats as he continues to grow musically and generate buzz in the Nairobi music community.
